House R
Israeli firm Sharon Neuman Architects have completed House R located in Kfar Yedidia, Israel.

House R was planned for a young family with 3 children, on a lot with a wide open view to the back, overlooking agricultural fields. After giving a great amount of consideration to the functionality of the space and the movement scheme, the team of Sharon Neuman Architects has decided to build a split level house, placing the master bedroom half way between the public area and the children's space.

The scheme evolved into an L shape plan with the MBR placed in the middle, outside the L, being surrounded by its 2 wings. This use of geometric volumes and voids are used to define the areas within the dwelling as well as add visual interest from an exterior perspective.

This feature results in living spaces of varying heights and is used to separate one room to the next in an otherwise uninterrupted flowing of spaces.

What we like is the integrated pergola gives shade for the outdoor kitchen which can be used all year around due to the local weather.
