Mrs and Mr Smith the Second
Anthony Hartley, English designer, works in Yorkshire and produces personally each piece starting from design coming to finished product, made with the complicity of the best technological solutions.
The technical integrity of the materials he uses is the result of years of experience and knowledge of science and technology of wood. His latest undertaking is the production of a multicoloured line of furniture, including chairs, tables, drawers and shelves, which will be exhibited at the next Tent London [22-25 September 2011] – London, UK.
The first item of the collection is Mr Smith the Second that maintaining the same design of the older brother: Mr Smith is distinguished by the presence pf long and bright coloured stripes that are well matched to the perception of softness, given by the movement of the wood forming the chair.
But Mr Smith the Second could not stay alone so last Friday, Anthony introduced its intimate friend, Mrs Smith. It is a table made up of layers of birch and defined by the same distinctive style: curves and colours.
Two outstanding items to be included in any space because Mr Smith the Second and Mrs Smith have enough personality to fill-style everywhere.
